We’re here to answer your questions and to make sure you feel confident and comfortable with your care. Please contact us if you’d like to talk more about our services.
during your first visit with us
At your first appointment, we’ll start by listening to your story to understand your pelvic health concerns, covering many aspects of your physical well-being. We’ll then guide you through a physical evaluation to assess your body’s movement. Depending on your concerns and goals, we may recommend an internal pelvic floor evaluation, if you consent and feel comfortable.
You’ll get to experience a mini-treatment session or full-hour of treatment, depending on your appointment’s length, before we summarize our findings.
We’ll discuss follow-up recommendations, what works best for you, and provide you with actionable steps to begin your journey toward improved pelvic health. We’re excited to support you!

Amazing experience! The staff is caring, knowledgeable, and truly invested in your well-being. They create personalized treatment plans that really address the core issues. The calming environment made me feel comfortable from the start. Highly recommend for pelvic floor therapy!

Pelvic Health & Wellness is amazing! I always feel heard and come away feeling less stressed! They treat you as an individual and truly care about their patients. Postpartum was so much better the second around because of pelvic floor physical therapy. If you are struggling with any pelvic floor issues, I would highly recommend Pelvic Health & Wellness!
— M.W.
I highly recommend this place for pelvic floor therapy! I had issues postpartum including prolapse and core weakness, and they knew exactly how to treat these issues. I thought I was going to end up needing a surgery but now I no longer have any prolapse. I also found out that they help a lot of women with fertility issues which I also find amazing. Check them out, they are outstanding.

Yes! We recommend establishing care with at least 1-2 appointments before giving birth because this can relieve pain, reduce your risk for tearing, improve labor, give you confidence with breathing and delivery techniques, and increase the likelihood of your birth going to plan.
If you're experiencing new or worsening pain or discomfort during your pregnancy, then it's important to seek care as soon as possible.
-
We are able to see clients within a few days after giving birth. If your birth didn't go as planned, and you have some immediate concerns, then contact us so we can advise on next steps.
For most new moms, we recommend coming in for your first postpartum visit about 4 weeks after giving birth because we have a variety of gentle treatment options that will support your healing.
Please note that we will not do any internal exams or assessments less than 6 weeks postpartum. We will do external, gentle, manual therapies and will recommend a care plan for your fourth trimester.
If fitness is important to you, then we can guide you toward return to exercise and provide you with valuable insights to make sure this transition is safe and low-risk for complications.

We're so sorry to hear this was your last experience with pelvic floor therapy. During your first appointment, we will take time to listen to your needs, goals, and concerns. Throughout treatment, we will reassess your symptoms and adjust your treatment plan as necessary. This ensures you know exactly what to expect, how your body is responding to treatment, and what the next step options are for future visits. We respect your time and financial investment in physical therapy and prioritize your confidence in the care we provide.
-
The pelvic floor muscles sit within the body, so to properly assess and effectively treat these muscles, we often recommend interval exam and treatment. Before we proceed, we will explain exactly what we will do and what you can expect. We only do this type of treatment after informed consent. We can still make treatment progress isa you are not comfortable with internal work.
We will not perform internal exams and treatment in the following situations: you are less than 6-weeks postpartum, you are under the age of 18 years old, you have an active infection, or you're not comfortable with it. Please be honest with your preference.
-
Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account cards are great ways to pay for your care with us! You can change your method of payment at any time. We will always send a payment receipt to your email after each visit for your records.
