Ready to meet your solution?
The pelvic floor is a foundational set of muscles within the pelvis.
The pelvic floor muscles sit within the pelvis and are responsible for supporting the pelvic organs (bladder, bowel, uterus, prostate), stabilizing the pelvis and spine, supporting sexual functioning, and starting/stopping elimination. Healthy pelvic floor muscles will be able to fully contract and fully relax.
It is possible for the pelvic floor muscles to be strong, tight, weak, or over-stretched. When these muscles cannot properly function, it’s likely for pelvic floor dysfunction symptoms to appear, including leaking, constipation, pressure, pain, and pain with sex. Pelvic floor concerns affect almost 40% of women and 16% of men, and it often goes undiagnosed.
Putting together the pieces of the puzzle.

Congratulations on giving birth! Whether your labor and delivery went according to plan, or you experienced complications, we are here to support your recovery. We’re able to see new moms as soon as a few days after giving birth to give you the treatment you need to feel your best as a new mom. Early postpartum sessions often incorporate gentle, small movements. We do not perform internal assessments until after 6-weeks postpartum.
No matter how long ago you gave birth, you’re still postpartum! You don’t have to live with pelvic floor dysfunction forever, including peeing your pants, even “just a little.”

As you transition into perimenopause and menopause, your body will go through many changes that can affect the pelvic floor. Hormone fluctuations may weaken the pelvic floor muscles, which can lead to bladder and bowel concerns like urgency or incontinence. Prolapse symptoms become more common, so feelings of pressure or heaviness may increase. Many women experience vaginal dryness and pain with intercourse. All of these symptoms are treatable with pelvic floor therapy.
